Would you fight for your right to go to school? Malala Yousafzai wanted to go to school so much that she risked her life. This is Malala's true story of growing up in Pakistan where the Taliban, a group who had taken over control of her town, forbid girls to go to school . Malala loved school and was encouraged by her father who was a teacher. Not only did Malala keep going to school despite the restrictions, she spoke out to the world about how restrictive the the government was and how all children deserve to have an education. The Taliban did not want her speaking out, so one day on the way to school, she was shot in the head at point blank range. She not only survived, but continues to speak out today. A movie about her life is being released this Friday. Check out the following video to learn more about her amazing story of courage , survival and hope!
